George Plays School

Collection includes: seven old-time school room objects

This collection was inspired by my grandmother, a former teacher. She had a school room in her attic where we played for hours. The books in this collection are very amusing. Some sample chapters in the book, BOY-CRAFT: "Using Up Father's Old Barrel Staves" and "How to Make a Potato Gun". Despite its gender bias, the book contains much worthwhile knowledge for any child.
  • Easel chalk board (25.25"w x 42"h)
  • Child's chair, plastic and metal, orange, vintage from the 1950s, good condition (
  • Beanie, orange felt, with plastic propeller on top, vintage, fair condition, sort of beat-up, probably like the kid who wore it (7"d)
  • BOY-CRAFT: For Boys 10 to 16 Years Old, copyright 1928, paperback, slightly torn cover, yellowed pages, and with a name and address written in fountain pen inside the front cover, which is so amazing that kids used to have to write with a fountain pen. It says, "George Keutemeyer, 1322 Richard St., Third Street School"
  • Fun with Magic, published by the Famous Library of Crafts & Hobbies, copyright 1943, hardcover, excellent condition
  • Victorian flashcards, pair, antique, fair condition, very charming, should be framed (11"w x 6"h)

Shipping costs are included. Also, please note that everything I sell, and I mean everything, is used, antique, vintage, etc. That means sometimes scratched, dented, and worn. Imperfect. Not dusty, though. Or dirty.
