Nippon Birds of Prey Plates

Collection includes: two polychrome plates

Honestly, as Christiane Lemieux, the inspiring designer/founder of DwellStudio, explains, a bird is never a bad idea when it comes to interior design. I couldn't agree more. Who doesn't admire birds? They are strikingly beautiful with delicate features, and best of all, they can fly! (A miraculous feat which eluded man until very recently.) Read here about how I came to love avian polychrome plates in a post I wrote about another great designer, Carolyne Roehm, and her awe-inspiring 'Bird Room'.
  • Porcelain plates, pair, in polychrome enamel, depicting birds of prey among blooming flowers and trees, vivid coloration, possibly from the early 1900s, very good condition (8.5"d)

Shipping costs are included. Also, please note that everything I sell, and I mean everything, is used, antique, vintage, etc. That means sometimes scratched, dented, and worn. Imperfect. Not dusty, though. Or dirty.
