Two crows, enjoying a convivial moment on a bamboo fence. Artist Max Fernekes (1905-1984) specialized in drypoint etching on copper. Fernekes's work has been acquired by the Museum of Wisconsin Art and Miller Art Museum. He is also known as one of the first artists to settle and make a living in Mineral Point, Wisconsin.
The etching is framed and matted in a color that I like to call Miu-Miu pink. I purchased this piece of artwork because I was besotted with a woman who tamed a crow. You can read about her here.
